What / who influenced your choice to join the Fraternity?
I had some friends join in the fall and they seemed like they were having more fun than I was. I joined the spring of my freshman year.
What is the best FIJI memory you have as an undergraduate brother?
Living in the house was like a never-ending comedy that I'm glad I survived. There was never a dull moment.
What is the FIJI memory you have as a graduate brother?
Definitely all the weddings!
How did FIJI shape your experience at Virginia Tech?
I met more people and made more connections than I would have otherwise. I've made some lifelong friends through FIJI that are still like my family.
What was your favorite place to hang out downtown?
The Cellar at Hammertime!
How did FIJI contribute to your success later in life?
There is a lot to be said about being confident in what you're doing. I was never a public speaker. After addressing Burruss auditorium or having debates in chapter with a room full of 80 people, you get comfortable in your own skin. That trait is essential to leadership in critical medical or trauma situations.
